CITES papers are required for any CITES listed animal to pass over the borders of any two countries, otherwise, it would be deemed as smuggling. I would try contacting the importers who imported the monitors you keep, and see if they still happen to have the CITES paperwork that came with them when imported.

Without CITES paperwork, traveling across the border into Canada with your monitors(all monitors are CITES),that would be smuggling, and punishable by fines and imprisonment.

As for regulations about keeping them in Canada, I cannot help you, as I am not Canadian, and therefore don't know how things work up there.

Good Luck.

my husband is from canada, and when we were dating i looked into moving there, it is possible, but will cost a lot in permits and take a lot of work. i was looking to move there with a sav. some bearded dragons, cats and a parrot. there will have to be some quarente and vet checks. i dont remember the site, but i did an internet search and was able to find permit apps. in the end he moved here with only a ball python and an iggy, but that was still a pain, and dont try to smuggle them, not only will you get in trouble, they have the right at the border to destroy the animals on site!
ill ask my husband if he still has his contacts for comming down with his animals, maybe they can help you go up!
GOOD LUCK!!!

im a vet tech and as far as i know a valad rabies vax is all cats and dogs need to get across, but id get a health cert from a vet if your trying to cross with other animals too. you know haw the border is, they will be a pain if you give them any little reason.

for the other critters id start here
