flammysnake Sep 05, 2005 06:10 PM

my usual outside showers have had to be replaced with a not so usual inside shower. do i just put them in the shower, turn it on and let'em enjoy(or not)? or is there a method to all this water usage? i put mr electric ocean in, and he seemed much better with this than the outside showers....will i ever stop asking so many questions in one post?

Put your chameleon on a perch of some sort, wether it be a plant or some good driftwood that is easily grip-able. Stand it IN a shower and point the shower head/nozzle towards THE WALL. If the stream of water were to land directly on it, you would have one hurting chameleon.

So let the rebounding water bounce off the wall onto the chameleon.

well, the first shower session went ok, but they refuse to be touched or handled in any way, shape or form. they get more upset if i try to get them onto a branch than if i use my hand, but they are still very very angry when i try to get them out. my enclosures are lightweight enough to carry around, so would it be ok if i took the entire thing in? the last time, i took it all in there, and sprayed down the enclosures plants and the water just kinda got on them indirectly....is that ok? sorry if i ask too many questions, but these are my first chameleons, and i don't wanna mess this up and be shunned away from the chameleon community forever....

You can spray them directly, but only with very soft spray.

As for putting your entire enclosure if, it would work providing your enclosure is set up well enough for doing that. If it has substrate, no.
