California stripped racer

jerry Sep 05, 2005 06:23 PM

this one came from Martinez, CA in Contra Costa County. This is only the second one I've caught-seen alot of gopher & rattlesnakes this year. The yellow bellied racers are found around here also.

this one turned out to be the Alameda racer which is a threatened species. needless to say I had to take it back. It sure is a cool snake!!! Do not need F&G after me! Want to keep it all legal.
