I have a 2-2.5 year argentine boa that is around 5 ft in length. I'm feeding her a large rat every week. I was just curious is that is too much to be giving to a snake of her age. This wouldnt be considered power feeding, would it?
Any replys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Cut it down to a large rat every 2 weeks. Once a week is too much.

0.1 Suriname (BCC)
0.1 Longicauda (BCL)
0.1 Bolivian (BCA)

Some will say every 10 days,some will say every two weerks an some will say that once a month!I dont feel that a propper sized meal,not much bigger than the largest part of the females body,every 7 days is too much!But for males once they reach a certain size are put on a 10 day diet!This is just my opinion an thats the answers your going to get to your question,Opinions only!The size she is it looks as if she is doing great on the schedule you have her on!How can one be power feeding when one is feeding the propper size meals?By a schedule?Beats the heck out of me!Nice argie by the way,an hope this helps you out with you decision a bit!Eric[Hypoboa]

Thanks a lot Runner and Hypo. I probably will continue feeding her once a week since Hypoboa said she looked good, and also because shes still a growing girl. I feed my ball once every 2 weeks because he will only eat every 2 weeks, but Bermuda(my Argie) is and has always been a ferocious feeder!
