Longnose snakes

alex Sep 05, 2005 09:42 PM

Anyone kept these? I managed to find one for sale in Canada, I've heard they're simple to keep and I've got it set up with a lot of sandy substrate for burrowing and good hides. I'm just looking for others experiences acclimating WC Rhinocheilus...
Thanks
Alex

I find a lot of these but I have never tried to keep them. I hear they are easy once you get them to accept mice but some tend to prefer lizards at first and may be stubborn about it. I believe the husbandry is similar to that for King Snakes, Gopher Snakes etc. They seem to be calm snakes when held. I have never known one to bite.
