Update on Sunshine

jag Jul 18, 2003 11:59 AM

Well I have had her for almost 1 week. Her actually being in her own tank will be on Sunday. But she has really showed good improvment. The first night we got her at the expo, she tried to bite my boyfriend when he tried to stick her in her tank, and she would run real fast into her hide when she saw anyone. But know she is really doing good. She is eating great also, Her eating habits started to pick up Wednesday night. She ate a silkworm and 1 mealie. The lasnight she ate a wax worm 6 mealies plus another slikworm lol. She also will come out know of her hide and not run when she sees me. And surprising enough I went to pull her humid hide out to wet it down and she came out so I put my hand out and she licked me and walk on . That was a great feeling. I decided to weigh her and she has gained 2.2 grams since we brought her home.

Happy momma here.

As for serenity she still hasnt ate yet. But im still hoping.

That's great to hear your little girl is settling in well...I bet her adopted sister will be settling down in no time too. They are both gorgeous...you must be very proud!

Well, the two eggs that are due to hatch next week look pretty good...they are large and firm so I have hope that the babies will hatch out next week nice and healthy.

I wouldnt worry about Serenity, it took my leo almost 2 weeks to adjust and start eating. Are you watching her when you try to feed her? Shes probably a little nervous with the new home, so maybe you could leave a dish of mealworms in at night. This way, she might decide shes hungry and eat a little. Just a thought. Good luck with them, Later

Thats what I do. I have even offerd her a wax worm, a butter worm, and a silk worm. And nothing. I figure she will eat when hungry.
