I bought my ball python from a pet store last October and was warned he has an "attitude problem." I was told that if I handled him regularly and showed him love he'd become more tame. He's captive bred and quite large for his age. Despite my efforts he goes into a deffencive position whenever I open his cage, is always tence and scared, and strikes and hisses very often. I don't know what to do or what could be causing him to be this way. The only thing I could think of is that he seems to have dents on his spine neer his tail. I figured maybe someone had mishandled him or hurt him and he hates people because of it? I just don't know what to do and he's already 3 feet and I don't want him to be huge and overly agressive. Please, I'll take any advice I can get.
