Very nice Brian. That Meade co. Ky black rat looks less patterned then what I normally see from Ky black rats. All are outstanding.
I see from one of the other post you picked up one of Phil's locality Bull Snakes. I hear so many folks describe what a joy Pits are, so I guess I'm going to have to break down and purchase me a locality Bull snake in the not so distant future. What's amazing about Bulls is some localities get around 4 1/2 feet while others can get over 8.

Steve
Thanks. Sometimes we come across some dark individuals here in KY, but most retain lots of pattern and colors. I came across one that was a dark olive color, only one I have seen like that and wasnt fast enough to snag it before it hit the underbrush. Would have made a nice photo op for sure.

Phils bulls are really nice and his hatchlings came out of the egg eating fuzzies! Pretty hefty little buggers.
All of the babies he produced are already gone, and I think he is gonna produce some more next year, so you ought to shoot him an e-mail and get on his list! Cant beat it, nice looking snakes with no questions on the locale!
