Hi all,

I am new to the forum, and about to be new to Uro's too! I have been sending emails back and forth with Doug Dix, and am either going to be getting a baby ornate, or a baby moroccan within the next week

I also have a green iguana, and argentine b&w tegu, a sulcata tortoise, and a brazilian rainbow boa!!

Am so excited about getting a new baby, will post pics as soon as I get him, he will be named "Frodo" (I think I am leaning more toward the moroccan)

Glad to be here, any advice, or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

either one will be a very beautiful animal. definitely follow douglas dix's advice. he is a very smart man. congrats on your new uro and welcome to the forum. post pictures when you get it

Hi all,

After having a conversation with Doug yesterday, I have decided to go with the egyptians! I am used to lizards that grow to be 4ft or more in length, so he suggested the bigger, bulkier egyptians. He sent me 4 pics this morning, 2 juvies, and 2 adolesents, am going to go with one of the juvies!! His name will still be frodo!! hee hee.

Will send pics as soon as I get him!

welcome to the forum! that's a nice looking tegu you have there. good choice on the egyptians, i have 1.2 egyptians and 1.0 tegus. egyptians are cool uros, they tame easily (in my experience) and have curious personalities.
