Pacman Not Eating...

JethrozMom Jul 18, 2003 12:23 PM

Hi guys.. i have a medium sized albino pac man that i got about two weeks ago. Ive tried to feed him several times and he just looks at the food. The people who had him before me were feeding him mice, and i am trying to feed him tuffies/comets, crickets, zoophobas beetles (only once, to see if it would pique his interest), etc. I dont want to feed him mice because i know that's bad for him, but how should i try to get him to eat? He's being kept at 80 degrees in a small tank filled with water up to his lip. (its a temporary setup, as we're moving at the end of august and i dont want to stress him out by changing his setup and then moving him) Any suggestions would be welcomed. I'm going to try feeding him again tonight when i get home from work.

Thanks guys,
Jamie

Try to get very large crickets, I mean large, or some nightcrawlers. And you can give him fish...like occassionally, instead of mice.

My little pacman just LOVES earthworms. They are easy to find at a bait shop, warning to use some tongs or something because they can attack with a vengince!!!!
This is my albino named Chubbs !!! Do you have a picture yet of your new little sweetie?

earthworms (nightcrawlers) are a great chooice. I feed them at room temperature rather than out of the fridge, because at warmer temps they move around more, piquing the frog's interest. He could be stressed by not being able to bury himself. I would place an easily-accessible container with Forest Bedding in it so he can bury himself, but it would be better to just do the whole tank with it and put in a water bowl. mine spend 90% of their time buried.
