Thanks alot! I was wondering if anyone else would think so. I thought maybe I was just partial since I produced them. The color just keeps coming so who knows where it will stop!?

Pastels have nothing to do with color.. the definition actually refers to a reduction in black pigment and faded, washed out pattern.
The color on that snake is outrageous, but the black is very bold and pronounced.
I'd love to see the tail!
Here's one of my pastels... color hasn't come in yet, and in some cases, may not... but look at that tail! Look for the black.. any black... anywhere!
This may be an extreme form, moreso what I look for.
Another thing usually seen in pastels is that lateral 'pastel stripe', which looks blueish grey when very young, and runs alongside the snake, usually from head to tail, between the edge of his saddles and the side medallions. You could vaguely see it in my pic below, which is far from being of good quality.
The one below it is all about color, but is also reduced black, faded, soft pattern...
You say you produced these, i'm sure you have some other beauties you can post! Please do!
I love color!
Thanks much, joe

Yeah I know that color doesn't have to be present to be a pastel. I have read Jeff's writings about them. He said it was a beautiful pastel and that I shouldn't let it out of my site. I figure it qualifies since he is the originator of "pastels". I would never want to risk ruining my reputation (Especially since I am just beginning to get one! LOL) by calling something anything other than what it is. I always thought the line down their sides was from being hypo siblings or maybe their parents were because that is so common in hypos. Anyways here is a full body shot and thanks for the compliment on him.
