new ksb owner, basic question

manutd11 Sep 06, 2005 06:09 PM

I have a ksb, approximately 13" and 40g. I understand that females are generally bigger, generally have shorter and plumper tails, and generally lack spurs. I am pretty sure mine is a female, but I don't have anything to compare mine to to be for certain. Plus, I'm not sure if she/he is too young small to be able to see spurs if it was a male. Here is a picture. I can take more if this one isn't sufficient. But can any of the experts out there tell if I have a male or female from this picture? Thanks for any info.

That looks like a yearling or maybe a 2 year old.
They sometimes breed in their 3'rd year providing they've been
eating well.
