crotalidking Sep 06, 2005 08:54 PM

Just wondering if there was a way to keep panthers outside during the winter months in southern california.

Thank you

Jason

You could keep them outside as long as the nighttime temp does not drop below 55 F and they can get a good long basking session in the morning to warm up. So, if the weather calls for cold nights and cloudy cool days you would need to be ready to bring them inside temporarily. Remember that clear cold weather will be dry too. Put their outside cage where they can get a good bask in the morning, some shade at noon, and are protected from strong winds.

You will need some wahy to keep the humidity up in the winter months though.
