Two night of searching around Trona yielded ten snakes:

2 juvenile longnose (clarus phase)

1 very long 4' Cal King (black/white high band count - 33 black rings)

2 gopher snakes

1 very small Lyre - apparently out for its first foray

4 winders - 3 juvies and one thirteen inches

1 gecko - a Coleonyx, but not sure which kind yet

These were all catch and release. We were looking principally for lichanuras.

Unfortunately no camera this time. The evenings started with temps of about 90 at sunset and dropped to about 75 by 11 pm each night. This area is much better to hunt in the late spring/early summer.
