In my opinion iguanas are better then water dragons because the iguanas are a lot more easy to get them to eat.
I have much more experience with water dragons than iguanas. An adult iguana requires significantly more space than an adult dragon. My personal experience with dragons has been that they remain a manageable size, and tame readily. If your familiar with the requirements and can provide for either, I don't think there is a bad choice. If you are looking for a manageable, tame animal I can certainly recommend a dragon with confidence. That said, I am enjoying our new iglet immensely.
And with water dragons you will have snout damage problems no matter what size cage.
not true about the snout damage.. i have owned water dragons for close to ten years and have had only one case of snout damage.. and that was with an aggressive male... my dragons are kept in two different types of cages.. 2 females in a 6x2x6 cage and one male in a 4x2x5 cage...if you get a waterdragon.. i would recommend a cage with 3 solid sides since they can't tell glass from air (one reason for "snout damage"
. they are very manageable and grow to a comfortable size...i also have had only one out of 5 turn out to be a finicky eater.. but he was sick as a baby and spooked very easy so he doesn't count
i am partial to water dragons but iggs are good too... good luck in whatever you decide..
