Question for Kevin or Kara

jcmonitor Sep 07, 2005 09:44 AM

Hi Kevin/Hi Kara,
I have a small concern about the market and pastels, Lemons to be specific. I have one of your male lemons from 04. I have some offspring available, but I have been slammed by people telling me that the market value I have set is too high and I should succumb to the market value of normal pastels and bells little over 700 and so forth for males. Now I have been to your site and my value is marginally set below your standard, but never that low.

This is your line, what are you thoughts on this and how is NERD reacting to this consumer driven demand?

Are people really that eager to see a great morph drop to pet quality prices?

I guess I am just trying to say I refuse to allow the Lemons to drop to below 700 each but I feel like I am fighting a loosing battle. Any suggestions???
Thanks,
JC

The problem is marketing, and lemon is the word of the week. Anyone who has pastels with more than five yellow scales, is selling them as lemons. You'll get your price, but only after a year or so, when the crappy "lemons" have paled, and the outstanding ones glow in the dark.

I hope your right thats the sad part so many screwed up not knowing the real difference people are trying to market regular pastels as lemons. I paid for mine as a lemon from NERD at the West Chester show period. As far as I know and as I can see they are lemons and they look as good as any other real lemon out there. I am just so frustrated that these kids think that I should lower my price because all pastels are only worth now 700 bucks.

Oh well rant over thanks I hope we all move them. Doesn't bother me too much, cause the more these eat the bigger they are. May babies weighing close to 300 grams each now and I have a male and a female. The price will only go up on each as they get bigger. So I hope no one expects a 800 gram male lemon to go for less than 2k :P
