Tom, Keith, and others.....Acadia hatchling pics..

Yes I am impatient! I couldn't wait for them to shed, so here are three males. The first one is my little holdback of course.

This little guy looks very similar to the above male. Great pattern. He'll be a looker for sure.

Now to show off Flame. That will be his name, whether I keep him or someone gets him. Bar-none, I have never seen a speck with this much orange or red on the belly and the sides.

Nice little critters!! I'll be interesting how their coloration developes. My guess is that the red one will turn the most yellow. Key word there is "guess".

Very nice looking holbrooki. Really enjoy seeing the variation in them throughout their range. I've caught many neonates along the coast with the same coloration as your last one! Pics after they shed will be appreciated!

Fine looking hatchlings! I too wonder how the coloration unfolds as the young orange bellied one grows. Phil

Those are very nice Matt.
That one with the orange belly is fantastic. As it ages I think it will be one of those nice deeply colored yellow ones with the yellow / orange sidewalls......LOL
Glad they all hatched out for you guys.....They are some of the nicest Holbrooki I have seen as hatchlings. Most have little crossbars that fade into specks as they reach maturity....
Those will definitely be completely speckled.
Thanks for the pics,
John Lassiter

I agree with John, high orange sidewalls. They are killer. I mourn the passing of my female Calhoun co. speck, and celebrate John's successful hatching of the 2.2 Calhouns from a clutch found in Calhoun county, Texas. Well, I know where to find more, hopefully. Damn parasites! Awesome looking snakes, Matt!
