20 gallon

geckguy Jul 18, 2003 01:48 PM

I have three leucs of unknown sex in a 10 gallon and I will be getting a 20 gallon I wanted to know wheter a 20 high or a 20 long would be better.

I'd go with 20 long. They seem to like a lot of floor space for hopping around and chasing bugs, as they are pretty active. They do a bit of climbing, but not to the extent of the athletic thumbnails.

Both would work, but I would have to say that the 20 tall would be better. I have had one of my trios of leucs in a 29 gallon tank which is pretty tall, and they sleep in the very top of the plants every night. All of my leucs love to climb so I give them room to do it. The 20 high also gives more room for the plants to grow upward.

For Luecs I would go for the High. That is what I used for mine and they are doing great. Like someone else already said they love to sleep up in the leaves, and on the sides.

They're both good (although in a 20g-high tank you'd be able to grow taller plants, of course ). I find that my leucs love to climb the walls but they also love to hide underneath all the leaf litter.
