egg hatching

Andrea1784 Jul 18, 2003 02:00 PM

I have an egg that is really big and when I candle it I see lots of veins and the baby gecko. I saw the baby gecko moving around today, it was really cool, like an ultrasound.
I have only hatched one egg out before and that one was a surprise bc I thought it was a dud.
The egg was laid June 4th and was kept at 82 F for the first 3 weeks and is now at 89 F. It is 44 days old now.
So my question is should I be expecting a hatch pretty soon since the baby is moving or could it still have another couple of weeks or more?
Thanks

I am guessing that the baby is still developing slightly but to look for signs of hatching between the 50-60th days of incubation.
2 of my leo eggs are on their 48th day of incubation and their eggs are large and firm so I am hoping they will hatch in a week's time.
Good luck!!!

yeah, that sounds right to me too. I'm very imaptient. We are in the same boat right now, it is very annoying not knowing. Oh well, hopefully a week from now both of us will be posting about the great hatchlings we have

Thanks
