Double het Blaze X hypo brooksi

bluerosy Sep 07, 2005 09:06 PM

Tom took this project over. It was a breeding between TonyD Blaze and my hypo brooksi.

Since all the hoopla over the Blaze I decided to get some adults and I cannot be happier with them.

Hey Tom-
do you still have this one or is it one that died?

Post some pics of those soon. I want to see what they look ,ike after a few meals.

Sorry for the poor quality pics. I just snapped these off for a few friends to show I got them feeding. All require snake scented Pinkies but that is not a problem for me. I am happy they're on their way and can't wait to see these with some size on them. Tom Stevens

I will catch you on AIM, I may be able to help but don't think I can talk about it on here. What I do is freeze a Corn. I breed them so I always have a bunch,....and of course I pick a non feeder or one that is simply not thriving. In this case it was one I had to assist out of the egg. Anyway...I freeze it, and once it passes on I cut him into 1 inch segments. This way I can thaw a tiny piece at a time and get a few pinkies well scented off a single piece. I have seen Kings ignore a pinky for hours, and then I will scent the same exact pinky and they will take it before I even put the lid back on. Knock on wood I have not had a problem with any being stuck on scented and they usually switch off too unscented after a few meals. This project is very important to me so instead of messing around I started scenting right away. I am happy they're feeding ttyl Tom Stevens

Please don't bite my head off but which ssp were used to produce these? The third one looks alot like a florida king but the others? Respectfully, Ken

I am usually not half as mean as I have been lately Ken LOL. Seriously though, they're a cross between a Blaze Phaze Goini and Hypo Brooksi. I have one other with a deformity near the tail and another did not survive as he was quite the runt and pretty bubble headed. However none of the offspring resembled Hypos, so we feel it is safe to say the Blaze Phaze Goini had no Hypo Brooks in the mix. Tom Stevens

Thanks for the reply, I should have searched the archives before asking. Reading some old posts now. Ken
