Hi all,
This perhaps could very well be a stupid question, but here goes:
I am interested to know if tranquilizing crocodilians is acceptable in any way? I have never known crocs to be tranquilized but I suppose that I special formula will have to be designed to do it safely as not to harm the animal internally. Furthermore, it appears that you would be limited as to when you are able to use any methods of tranquilization. When the crocs are inthe water you can possibly cause them to drown it seems. Therefore, it seems that the only time it could be used is when the crocs are on dry land.
I am just curious. I know that tranquilization is utilized when moving and relocating numerous large and aggressive mammals, but never heard of it for crocs and was wondering if it is ever done at all.
Thoughts? Opinions?
Thanks,
Chris
