Feeding lobster roaches, need help

schwartzenstobe Sep 08, 2005 09:55 AM

Hello, everyone. I have a jackson that eats crickets, mealies, silkies, superworms waxworms almost any wild caught spider or beetle i also started a colony of lobster roaches. he loves them the most. my jackson will turn down crickets but never roaches. However, i free range them. I always watch him eat the first one and rarely see him eat anyothers. i would check the cage daily and never see the roaches. i went to clean the cage the other day and found 4 under the cage in between the cage and the table. Any suggestions on how to stops this or to ensure he eats all of them. the roaches are so fast and love to run and hide. thanks in advance matt

If your guy will bowl feed you can use a plastic bin with some bug stop smeared around the top. I free range most of my bugs,
but the lobsters hide so fast I have to use the bins.
You can add some branches to the bins to simulate
more of a free range insect.
