i have a bookshelf that is about 36''tall 14''deep and 30''long has two shelves and was thinking this would make a great cage for my two kings i currently have or maybe two others. my question is i saw some hard borad i think thats the name at home depot the other day will this work as the sides? the shelving unit is all open, its 4 2x1's and then the shelves. i was thinking of the hard board for the back, and top, and thinking about some kind of flooring tile. and then peg board for the sides for ventaliation. the unit is made of pine. would this be a good project or would i be better off just making one from scratch.. any suggestions would be much appreicated..
