i have a young ackie and just noticed that he has some 'inlarged' scales around his vent area... is this normal? and what are they?.........
also i noticed that his toung is pink and closer to the tip it is black... what da ya think about that, normal?

I would guess you are seeing the spurs, if so that is normal. A picture might help.

The tongue... yeah nothing to worry about there.

Thanks Robert, at least i know the toung is normal... And ya they look like they are supose to be their. But i im just making sure that they are.. and trying to find out what they are... anyonw know if they really are spurs... does anyone have a pic of their ackies, that shows spurs????? thanks.

Search the archives, there have been plenty of threads and posts pertaining to spur size and ackies and other odatria..

ya i tried looking in the past threads... but the seach engine for this site didint seem to work very well for me..... thats why i just asked again, just about every question has been answerd over the years but its not always easy to find. and also all the picture from the older ones didnt want to load for me. SO if any one has some pics and doesnt mind repeating a post that might have been on here a few yeaaaars ago, that would be awesome.. thanks!!
