I have a three level melamine wood rack that I just finished today, and it has 3" flexwatt heat tape for each level with zoomed reostats, the first level is currently at 83 the second at 91 and the top at 104, How should I go about loosing those temps, those are ambients, Also there are no snakes in there at the moment, I have built pvc racks before to house my current ball collection and am stumped at how the temps are so high. Also the cages are 31 Quart sterilite sweaterboxes, with 2 inches of aspen bedding
First possible solution would be to take off the back to allow for better circulation, heat rises, is it possible that if I take off the back it would let the heat escape and make it possible to balance better temps?
Second would me to drop the heat until winter,(I live in AZ and even in air conditioning the rack holds the temps at 80-86, do I need supplemental heats at that temp?
any input is extremely helpful
thanks
