Two great albino females from Burke Reptiles, Thanks Tom! ......pics...

Locolizard Sep 08, 2005 06:33 PM

This is a nice albino from the coral litter.

And this girl is from the Lipstick sunglow litter, how many think this is a sunglow? I bought it as an albino, but now I as well as others are not so sure it isnt a sunglow?

And while im posting pictures, here is few pictures of a Coral Sunglow male I produced last season that should get his first action this fall.

Thanks for looking and Thanks for the great animals Tom!

holy "you know what", you have some nice animals!

Tom's producing some great corals.

Regarding the possible Sunglow, I think you have a smoking albino, that could look better than alot of sunglows. I myself am new, but a more experienced breeder told me, that among other clue, on sunglows, the medalians should be solid instead of having a white center, also, the fleshy white border (where the black used to be) around the tail saddle on yours seems to go up higher than most sunglows...but damn, that is a NICE one.

Finally the one you produced is awesome, the male I held back looks like it was dipped in pink ink, so hopefully he will look similar in a year.

This picture is with some of his siblings.

And here he is with his sister by them selves.

Thanks,I cant wait to see the offspring from this line of Sunglows.

He even stood out like crazy as a baby. Were the parents richly colored? Are you planning the same pairing again?

Wow, we are not talking about 10 years of selective breeding...just one shot and you are done...congrats.

I unfortunately will not be able to breed that pair again, the male was on loan from someone and it was a fairly drab and normal looking salmonm het albino male from Rich Ihle bred to my red-headed albino female from Jeff Ronne.
This is the mom.

She is a sweet redhead!

I have a feeling alot of the coral coloration came from mom, but you cant underestimate the power of the salmon!

Thanks,
Mark

it is hard to understand/disect a certain pairing, but it is easy to see where the red head came from. My friend had a spectacular litter one year and an average litter the following year using the same female and a different male. I guess the magic is in the pairing sometimes.

that much head coloration at such a young age it has to be.

The second one does look albino to me. Its an absolutely insane albino though. Congrats on your pickups, burke's line of albinos and sunglows are simply the best IMO.

And your keeper coral sunglow is totally insane as well, as Ive already told you 20 times or so in the past, hehe. He may be one of the highest body colored sunglows out there, if not THE highest.

Thanks for sharing.

I have no idea why, but I'm not really into coral albinos... That 2nd albino/poss sunglow is more of what I like, the contrasting colors.. That thing is smoking man!!! I know the corals have more coloring over all and they carry a much higher value, but it just looks like a rashy disease to me.. I don't really post much unless somethin really blows me away, you've got some badazz snakes there. Cya around!
