I haven't ever really been a big fan of tricolors (especially at the price they command!), but that is a neat looking snake. I was thinking checkerboard hog, but I think I like the name Harlequin better.

It would be interesting to know if the apparent lateral mismatch of the pattern affected other tissues as well. Makes me wonder if all the muscles and internal organs are correctly "lined up" as well.
