introducing cresteds to eachother

jjjt4beck Sep 09, 2005 12:00 AM

Our female is arriving Tuesday. What is the best way to introduce her to our male. She is too young to breed, so she will be kept in her own cage. Can they mingle while we have them out?

Thanks, Jamie

For the first 3 months you have the new gecko, keep her separated from the rest of your collection. This make sure she doesn't have any diseases incubating within her that could effect others. Also, it gives her time to adjust to her new home, recover from shipping and get back to eating regularly. Till she is old enough to breed, that is when you should start introducing her to the male, supervised of course to make sure they don't fight.
