Question about food for Leo Gex & Chams

red_eyed_magalie Jul 18, 2003 03:21 PM

Does anyone know where I can get Crickets, Meal Worms, Super Worms, Wax Worms, Butter Worms and Silk worms from. I was kinda hoping to get them from the same place but will split into two if necessary. I always order from one place (I wont mention names) and all 250 wax worms were DEAD...I called them to tell them and they said they do not guarantee live arrival on wax worms. I looked on the website and it doesn't say it...the only thing that would come close would be the info about looking on the "weather channel" to see what the temp is to add stuff (cold/hot) packs to the box...so we could argue back and forth with them, but for $8.50 they could have sent another cup and saved a customer. I order 3-5k every other week and sometimes more. I have never encountered any problems with them. Never complained about anything and I recommend them to everyone that purchases from me and even include their brochures with purchases. Not to mention when I set up at a Flea Market to sell some chams I had their brochures on site then! I can't believe it...I am fuming...So, can anyone assist me with my new decision to give someone else my business. I am sure someone else would have been more than happy to replace them at no cost. I would have even paid for the shipping. Nothing! Not even an apology. I even have pictures of them...all black and dead...

Unfortunately, waxworms are very hard to ship through the mail during the summer.

www.mulberryfarms.com has silkworms and a few other worms.

www.reptilefood.com has everything but silks, and cheap.

the only place i can think of is herpfood.com .. but the only draw back is that the silkies only come with a few mulberry leaves and they don't sell the silkworm chow.. but you could probably find some mulberry trees around you area (depending on where you live).. that is the only place that sells everything..

hope that helps

And they arrived in perfect condition 4 days after I placed my order. All of them were fat and healthy and I only found one dead worm out of a cup of 250. You can get your crickets, mealies, waxies (and maybe supers?) from Wormman. You can get silkworms from www.mulberryfarms.com.
