central california (Fresno to Montery/Santa Cruz)
I found this one in my rodent room (attached to the house). I live outside of Chino Valley, AZ (5,000 ft elevation). Just north of Prescott, AZ in Yavapai County. I have lived in Yavapai County since 1990 and these are very common up here. Lots of black with very thin yellow or cream bands. I have also found some with bigger white bands as well.
Every year I find about 5-6 California Kingsnakes on my property (mostly in my rodent room). I feed them, then send them on there way.
