something that i can only describe as looking like the cap of a black mushroom was protruding from my male red-eared slider's anus. it was about 2.5cm wide, round-ish in shape... the turtle was obviously distressed and after a while, whatever it was just went back inside.... it didn't look like it was about to be easily expelled from his body and somehow looked attached.. the turtle is otherwise eating and behaving normally, although he is now keeping his tail curled under like he wants to stop that thing coming out again...anyone know what it could have been? This has happened at least twice... would appreciate any pointers as I am stumped!
