How long do Tadpoles stay Tadpoles?

We've had them for upwards of 9 mo's now with no change... Any Thoughts?

The length from metamorphosis varies from specie to specie. Some will morph in about a month, others will go to two years (the American bullfrog for example). It also depends on water temperature, cooler temps mean slower development.
