How much damage was there in your area from the hurricane?

Not too much damage in the city where I live. Our neighbors lost some shingles on their roof; there were some trees blown down all around town, but our house didn't suffer any damage.

Tuscaloosa was far enough north of the coast that there were many people who were evacuated from the path of the storm who settled here. Our hotels are full, and there are several shelters around here, too. In fact, just today a couple of evacuees have arrived at our house to stay for a little while until they can get south to be with their family.

We're pretty lucky, all things considered. Thanks so much for asking
