I dont know if its little worms or gnat larva because there were a couple gnat flys in some of my ch. and cb. hatchling tubs....I do keep the babies cleaned, but when your gone for a few days ya cant change diapers every day....im hoping they arent parasites....

the gnats were probably fruit flies.......and they are maggots....some reason they go to wet spots and end up drowning in the water bowl....

clean.......alot........

they eat rotting mice and even fecal matter

They probably werent fruit flys, they were probably kill bugs (red carrion flys) They look alot like fruit flys, but they are MUCH worse. The can spread disease, and leave maggots all over the place. Not a good thing to have hanging around. I dont think fruit flys can just lay eggs on the surface of something. I think they have to lay eggs inside of something like rotting fruit or something.. Could be wrong about that. Not sure.
