Xenagama what??

PHLdyPayne Sep 10, 2005 03:40 PM

I purchased this little guy as a spade tailed agama but what pictures I could find on these, the tail looks alot different than what he has. I have looked at pics of xenagama taylori and find it is very similar but the pattern on the back seems different. So, is this guy a Xenagama batilifera or Xenagama Taylori?

looks kinda like a very small uro to me. (uro = dab lizards, spiny tailed lizards, u can distinguish it coz the species have a very spiny tail 4 defence). Very cute though ^^

i'd say taylori, but im not an expert. but i do know it is not a gecko. its common name is spade tail agama. they're a lot like beardies in personality. i've had a couple in my care as rescues once.
they do eat veggies, but mainly insects until a yr, then a diet of veggies, and more fruit than a beardies diet.

thats all i know really.
