Andre and I just got back from visiting George Miskimon's place (the originator of the licorice black rat...AKA white-sided), and here is a taste of one of his new projects...Hope you like it.

O my God! AWSOME!
I have a sweet Red rat
and I'm new to all this and here.
So hi and wow your new one is amazzing.

Right a new flavor licorice...maybe orange licorice = amel lavender licorice.:e
looks like a WS everglades x amel yellow
There is no mixing in this snake. It is a pure black rat (yearling).

Wow...makes my albino white-sided look like nothing now lol. Was it just a random morph, or was he trying something new?

Looks like a Ghost (White-sided) Everglades. Here is a picture I just took of my male.

Here are some young Whitesided Everglades for comparison. One is more yellow than the pic you posted but the other is pretty similar.

.....now what's that mean? Hey Dewey - what is the background of the animal George has. I hope he produced it or I'd never be convinced it is pure Black Rat. I've seen Albino Lic. Sticks w/ yellow stripes (instead of orange/pink) but that snake has dark eyes.?
sweet:e
~?
It's an AMEL LAVENDER LICORICE...He took a nice licorice to a amel lavender blk rat...that guy is pure 100% blk rat ...more surprises coming soon

So is the animal posted by Dewey homozygous for Lic. Stick & Lav. Albino? What is the neonate pictured?? The same??
Mike,
Yes, the noenate that Dre posted is a pic of the same animal from a year ago. Yes, the snake I posted is a Licorice from George's line crossed to what he is calling a "red" albino. But if you look at it, it looks more like an albino lavender, which would explain why this animal doesn't have pink eyes. I believe I have some pics somewhere of the female that George used to make this cross. I will try to dig it up and send it to you....it is a hard copy, so I have to find it then scan it. But just on a side note. George is ALSO working with the everglades Licorice....he mixed his Licorice with and Everglades...that one is JUST now starting to make the change, so it isn't showing much right now. I will try to make my way to George's again this week if I get some time, and I will get more pics. I'll keep ya posted.
Dewey
That does explain the eyes. So was this animal produced from Dbl. Hets. or were the Lav/Red & Lic. Stick Het. for the other? Thanx for clearing things up for me guys....
Can't remember how he did. I will find out for you later this week when I stop by his place.
George's snake is from amel lavender x licore blk rat F1... dbl hets x dbl hets F2. The snake in the photo is a amel lavender licorice F3's. I hope this helps.
