..this is a locality cross--so to speak. You may know that kings found in the Pinellas county area of Florida have a lot of "eastern" look. The ones over here in Tampa, just across Tampa Bay, look more typically "peninsula intergrade". Some are quite light though and some very yellow.
Anyway, this guy is the result of a pairing of a female Pinellas and a male Tampa locale. Though he is lightening with age, he still shows that Pinellas look. But with yellow.
I'm sorry I didn't keep back at least a pair now...
