Blue tegu temperment

norcalherps Sep 10, 2005 09:41 PM

Are they "normally" and agressive variety? Just wondering because everyone Ive talked to about mine seem surprised when I say how defensive she is. Shes only about 14" long, so I imagine part of her behaviour could perhaps be due to her youth.
Im really just taking a guess, as this is my first tegu, and Im not familure with them.

Other then that shes been a wonderful captive. She eates about every otherday to everyday. It just depends.
I let her go 2 days without food once, and I swear she looked skinny!! Basically, shes an eating/ pooping/ biting machine.
hahaha

My pair was the same way, my reds are both alot calmer. I have seen some calm blues though too. A hungry tegu is not a friend haha so keep it fed.
