You could feed the chicken hearts to the mice, and then feed the mice to the monitor.

I have this chicken that loves fuzzies. Its pretty funny. He preferes them over chicken food. And he adores crickets. Hes a cricket eating machine. I think hes been eyeing the cats lately though...

Why have the mice have a "gourmet" when you can have your monitors happy than usual?

well since we are on the topic of food, what do you think about tuna? just like regular albacor, cuz i have fed my monitors the canned chicken from costco before and they seem to enjoy it, so i was wondering about tuna just to "spice up" the same old mouse, chicken , crickets, routine you know we dont like to eat the same things all the time so why would a monitor want to eat a mouse or chicken all the time???? well maybe i am rong but it cant hurt to ask right

Only if you mix SWEET pickle relish in with it. The extra sugar really helps with oviproduction. Yeah.... sure....

:P

If your b-throat is anything like most, it will eat most anything. Rodents as a staple seems to have the most balanced nutritional value (according to everyone on this forum.)

I have fed them anything I have had around and they have grown like mad, but I always had the staple diet be rodents.

I would freeze it for a few weeks if I were you, but I'm not you. Whenever I catch something I want to feed my monitors (crayfish, minnows, mini clams), I freeze it for a month, which might be overkill, but that's what I do. It supposedly kills most every parasite that may exist, but I'm no biologist.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
