Iguanas expel salt by sneezing. However, listen to the breathing for congestion to be sure your ig doesn't have respiratory infection as well.

Hi, I'm aware of this in iguanas, mine does it on occasion. I've always wondered where the salt comes from in the first place. Being vegetarian I don't think they take in much. It's just always been a puzzle to me where it comes from. Especially in such amounts that it has to be expelled in such a way.

Rains it Pours..... oh sorry thats MORTON salt, hahahahaha LMAO

Anyway, uromastyx and chuckwallas splatter salt all over the sides of the tanks also, and they are veggie eaters. They just expel the excess from glands.

Thanks Eve. Then the lizards produce this salt themselves? Just didn't know a bod that didn't require salt would have reason to produce it. Another one of those quirks of nature I guess. MORTON'S SALT!?!??? Was that an attempt at comedy? LOLOL well, it worked . Have a good one and thanks for the explination.
