Nose problem

kindwaterflow Sep 11, 2005 07:25 AM

My new iguana's got a nose problem. I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to treat it. Other than the nose though he seems to be doing great. Very active and eating well.

the image didnt show up, at least not on my screen.

what kind of nose problem is it? Is it a sore or rub? or discharge coming from the nose?

what size enclosure and what is it made of?

if husbandry (esp. enclosure size) is not correct many igs will frantically try to escape and damage their snouts in the process. if she is new to you its possible this happened at her previous home

I can't see the picture. Can you elaborate on the nose a bit more? Is is changing shape, open wound, what? JN

It's definatly getting better now that he's out of the pet store and getting the proper care. I can't beleive they had him on the bottom shelf of reptiles when iguanas like to climb. they had the leos on the top, it makes no sense. But his nose is beginning to peal and the skin underneath the nasty skin is much better. His colors have been seeming to be getting brighter. Thank You for the concern it's nice to know that theres other reptile lovers out there willing to help.

Thanx
