New Litter

Jeff Clark Sep 11, 2005 11:25 AM

...I had another litter of BRBs this morning. I found them as the mother was eating the only slug in the cage from the litter. There may have been other slugs she had already eaten. So far there are 15 big healthy babies. The mother is 5 years old and this is her first litter. I got her in a trade a few years ago and I think she is from Dallas Zoo bloodlines. She is not real impressive dark red-orange colored with good crescents. She is around 6 feet long and very stout. Many of the snakes from the Dallas Zoo bloodlines are really pretty. Some of the babies in this litter look like they will be exceptional. I am not sure which male fathered this litter but the only two times I observed her breeding it was with very bright orange males.
