Problematic Egg Laying

gaparicio Sep 12, 2005 10:50 AM

I have 1.2 Normals in a 40 breeder. The Problem is that one of my females is HUGE around the stomach area. I know for a fact that she has two eggs since you can see them. She has had the eggs for almost 3 weeks and doesn't seem to want to lay them yet. She has a humid hide and a couple of other regular hides. my other female instinctively began digging 2 days ago and laid an infertile egg just yesterday. Why cant the other gravid one do the same? It's getting to the point that her tail is starting to get thin. Am I being too impatient? Should I wait another week? I just don't want her to become eggbound.

give it another week or so. i just had the same problem with my female, but as of this morning she laid eggs! but can anyone tell me what to do if the eggs are stuck together? they're not stuck like she laid them that way, like how they get stuck to the side stuck....do i just leave them together, or attempt to take them apart? will leaving them together cause any harm?
