I have a really nice Ball I purchased off someone as a pair with it's female mate. I really didnt want the male, but was forced to buy both the former pets as a pair because the person wanted them both gone. The snake, (the supposed male), was actually a really beautiful animal, 1500+grams, gold eyes, HUGE blushing head, and a great reduced blushing pattern. It probed out at a solid 7 scales and I just assumed he was a he as I had been told.
After several months I was re-arranging things and placed him/her along with another known male in a large temporary cage together. The next day I noticed the two of them were locked up and stayed that way for hours just like a couples do. I have heard of males simulating with other males, but they were not cycled and it was not just a short groping thing?
Has anyone had a male stay attached to another male for this long a time? If not, does this indicate that he is most likely a deep probing female?
Thanks anyone,
Al
