calcium and vitamin misting, mix with water good or bad?

lizardgirlhottie Sep 12, 2005 04:06 PM

Hi everyone,
I keep various geckos and am wondering weather I can mix the repcal herptivite vitamins d3 and calcium in a bottle with water and mist cages. Is this a good way to get the lizards their vitamins and calcium as opposed to dusting pinheads and drosophila? Anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks,
LGH

The amount that will be suspended in the water will not come close to the amount of powder that will stick to the surface of an insect.
Another thing to think about is the huge, huge increase in mineral buildup from drying water. It won't be long before you can't see through the glass.
