Vets in Houston

taylor578 Sep 12, 2005 04:45 PM

I don't know if this is allowed (I'm new to posting here), but if it is, could someone recommend a vet that specializes in snakes/reptiles in the Houston area (I'm near the Galleria). My vet retired in August, and I got my first snake since he retired on Sunday and I think he might have a respiratory infection.

Thanks,
Taylor

The best reptile vet in town is Gary White. He's located at the corner of Wilcrest and Briar Forest. If you go there, be prepared to wait because his waiting room is like an ER.

Did I say Gary White? It's Larry White of course. I beg your pardon. You could also try Steven Fronenfield (SP ?). He did emergency surgery on a kingsnake of mine that had it's head split in two by a cat. That snake is alive and thriving ten years later, so I think it's safe to say that the vet was pretty good.
Cheers!
