A huge clutch

RobBierman Sep 12, 2005 06:57 PM

Yesterday September 10, 2005 I found 10 baby Three Toed Box Turtles! I was so excited, and didn't even know there were eggs there. I still have more eggs incubating outside, but here are the new hatchlngs
(4 of those are from a different clutch)

Here is the same turtles outside running around right after I cleaned the dirt off of there shells.

Here are pictures to show the variety in looks.
Here are my 2 runts of the litter (the smallest Three Toeds I have ever seen, the picture makes them look bigger)

My 2 brown babies

Check out how large the spots are

And my favorite two "Bright Babies"

Congratulations!
Looks like you have some that hatched a few weeks earlier than others. Maybe a first and second clutch: I have a similar situation here, with a first clutch about 4 weeks older than the second, showing a similar disparity in size.
The two 'runts' hatched more recently than the others shown in close-up view.
Very cute!

They're adorable. What are you going to do with them all?
