baby milk and corn snakes togeather

spiderfate Sep 12, 2005 08:10 PM

i have just recently became the proud owner of four hatchling red milk snakes and 2 unknown hatchling corn snakes. right now i am keeping them in the same tank, but i started to wonder if this is safe because some one told me milk snakes will eat other snakes. the corn snakes are slightly larger then the milks and i dont see how that is possible but i figured i would through it past you great individuals and get some advice.

That pic is too blurry. Could be either. My money is on Eastern.

Keeping milks and corns together is a bad idea.

I've seen snakes eat other snakes up to 5 inches larger than themselves.

Hi,Milksnakes include other snakes in their diet. A baby corn will be a perfect meal for your baby. I don't think you want to go down that road. I've had bady milks who would not feed until I gave them a baby garter snake. then they started to feed on everything. so, If you don't want the corns to be a meal seperate them

Good luck !

Mark
