Just curioius if anybody has ever experienced this in any of their snakes before. The eye seems to be swelling up more and more each day. What is this? Any way to fix it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That is a pretty serious infection going on there! You can see the puss layer in the eye. If that isn't taken care of quickly that snake could most definately die. You need to get to a vet and get some anti-biotics ASAP. He may be able to drain off some of the fluid and relieve some of the pressure. Hopefully the animal doesn't have permanent vision damage. Don't waste any time. You don't want that infection to get into the bone if it hasn't already. Good luck.

What ever became of this? Did you take it & find out? My first thought was of a parasite, but the previous infection statement is probably more accurate.
Hi !
I hope you understand me, cause my english is more a genglish (german english).
15 years ago, i have the same problem with a captive born hatchling of Pit. cat. annectans, and i think theres no way to fix it - sorry.
In my case it was a occlusion of the lacrymal gland canal. The little snake died after 6 or 7 month.
