HELP!! FRILLY DYING?!

ihilani13 Sep 13, 2005 08:32 PM

I've had my baby frilly (7" about 3 weeks. She's been eating and pooping fine, if not a whole lot. She has not been particularly active, but everyone said that was normal. Today, she was at the bottom of the tank, rather than the usual up on her branch, and just kinda lying there. I picked her up and she was very lethargic. Soaked her and she pooped then kinda woke up. A couple hours later, I tried to get her attention with crickets, but she's just closing her eyes and kinda stiffening up. I opened her mouth and it is very colorless, kinda gray! Also, I just noticed blood on her branch!! She has no visible wounds, so I'm thinking internal parasites. I don't know of any reptile vets around here, unless anybody knows a way to find one? Is she too far gone? I don't want to give up on her, but I don't know if she can be helped at this point? ! Please any advice or idea what this may be?

I was going to take her to a vet this morning, but I was too late! Any ideas what killed her? I'm sure it was something pre-existing, but I'd just like to know what happened and maybe how to look for signs next time? Thanks.
